Slob City

Being a Uni is fun as you are always surrounded by others but there will be days when you have absolutely nothing to do and feel so lazy. Keeping yourself entertained is key to stop yourself binge eating and watching Netflix on end.

To do list:

•Get yourself a group of people that are always wanting to be up and about. Getting out of your accommodation or house is the best way to keep yourself occupied. Going to the cinema, going bowling is a fun way to waste time, and both offer student discount so its not like you’ll be spending a lot. The Showcase Cinema have an insider card which is free to apply for, which gives you even better discount than student, so this is worth looking into if you’re planning on going to the cinema frequently.

•Get yourself a job!! This is the best way to keep yourself busy, but also earn money at the same time! This will help you out when a student especially as you will have money of your own to spend, and not having to rely on parents for help.

•Join a society within Uni or any clubs at college! Sports are the best way to keep you active and have fun at the same time. This will make you more social and help widen your friendship groups.

•Go to the gym. Living at uni means constantly eating like a slob or getting takeaways. Many people coming back from uni say how much weight they have put on when they come home for Christmas or summer. Going to the gym will keep you active, and help you get rid of the binge eating. It will also make you feel better and more healthy rather than just sitting in your flat 24/7.

•Arrange a movie night once a week getting all your flat together out of their rooms and being sociable!

•Most uni students leave their work to the last minute, so if you organise yourself you can use your spare time where you have nothing to do, doing work. This will help you with your grades but also if you do end up having plans all your work will be done and you wont need to worry.

Trying to keep yourself busy can be difficult, as people may not have the same free time as you.

When you're on your own you need to learn to deal with your own company. By keeping yourself busy, will help stop the boredom kicking in.

Getting yourself involved with activities like the gym would be a good way to deal with this. Or even getting on top of your studies.
